Videoconferencing

The University of Texas School of Law has joined Law School Connect, a nationwide membership network providing remote interviewing capabilities to law schools, law firms, nonprofits, and judges together through videoconferencing. Law School Connect provides membership options at reasonable rates, and non-member network access at hourly rates. Judges have free access to the network for judicial clerkship and internship interviews.

In order to participate in a videoconference, you must have a microphone and camera and be able to connect via IP or ISDN phone line.

For videoconference and Skype interviews, please contact please contact James Cardenas, Programs Coordinator, at 512-232-7110 or jcardenas@law.utexas.edu and include the following information:

• Name of UT Law Student/Graduate
• Name of Employer (including City, ST)
• Recruiting Coordinator name, phone and email (if applicable)
• IT Coordinator name, phone and email (if applicable)
• Date and time of interview (include time zone)
• Date and time available for testing of connection (include time zone)

Skype

With Skype’s free software, which works seamlessly with your Internet connection, you can conduct free Skype-to-Skype calls and never worry about cost, time or distance. In order to participate in a Skype call, you will need a microphone and webcam.
