Center for Women in Law Founding Member Jane Snoddy Smith was recognized as a 2012 “Women of Influence” in the most recent edition of Real Estate Forum, a leading national publication for the real estate industry. The forty-five female executives selected represent the recent increase in the number of women holding management positions in commercial real estate.
Jane is a partner with the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. at their offices in Austin, TX. In addition to her newfound “Women of Influence” title, Jane has been named in The Best Lawyers in America, Real Estate Law, (2008-2013), as well as in Texas Super Lawyers. Her expertise lies in shopping centers, having worked on transactions in 34 states, including one of the few nationally recognized mega deals to close since the credit market froze. Outside of her work, Jane is an avid philanthropist who focuses on providing aid for children and the disabled. She recently served on the Board of Fight SMA, a non-profit devoted to the search for a treatment for spinal muscular atrophy, the leading inherited cause of death for children under two years old.
The Center for Women in Law congratulates Jane on this well-deserved honor.
