Linda Addison and Robin Russell Selected for 2012 DirectWomen Board Institute

Center for Women in Law Founding Members Linda Addison and Robin Russell were selected to be members of the 2012 DirectWomen Board Institute.

The DirectWomen Board Institute is an annual two-day program that positions women lawyers to take on top-tier posts in large corporations. The program was launched five years ago to identify and endorse leading women lawyers as potential hires for corporate boards. The DirectWomen Board Institute will be held October 18-19, 2012 in New York City.

Linda Addison is Partner-in-Charge of the New York office of Fulbright & Jaworski. Her practice focuses on class actions, corporate governance, and complex commercial litigation. Linda’s wide variety of accomplishments range from authoring the book Texas Evidence (Thompson West 2010) to receiving the American Bar Association’s prestigious Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award.

Robin Russell is Managing Partner of the Houston office of Andrews Kurth LLP. Robin serves on many of the firm’s internal committees and co-chairs the firm’s national bankruptcy practice. Her practice centers on bankruptcy restructuring, finance litigation, economic recovery, and corporate compliance. In 2011, she was named by the National Diversity Counsel as one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women in Texas.
