Michelle Goolsby is a graduate of The University of Texas where she received her B.B.A. – Accounting, with Honors in 1980 and of The University of Texas School of Law where she received her J.D., with Honors in 1983. Michelle spent over 13 years practicing law with major Texas law firms, where she advised clients as to corporate matters and public and private capital markets transactions and held various management positions. For over 10 years she served in various capacities, including Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of Dean Foods Company (NYSE:DF), with responsibilities including strategic growth initiatives, legal and compliance, government relations, human resources, communications, and corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives.
Michelle has served on the boards of public and private companies, including for profit and nonprofit companies. She is currently a member of the Investment Committee of Greenmont Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Boulder, Colorado, a member of the Board of Directors of The Organic Center and an Advisory Director for Vitamin Angels. She is also a Founding Member of The Center for Women in Law at The University of Texas School of Law and a Trustee of The University of Texas Law School Foundation. Michelle is a Certified Texas Mediator and a member of Mediators Beyond Borders and is trained in Collaborative Law. She has advised for profit and nonprofit organizations as to various governance matters, commercial transactions and organizational change initiatives.
