Peggy Heeg is a Partner in the Energy Practice Group at Fulbright and Jaworski L.L.P. She is also co-chair of Fulbright’s Corporate Governance Practice Group and a member of Fulbright’s Executive Committee.  Previously, she served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of El Paso Corporation.

Peggy combines her knowledge of the energy industry, corporate governance and regulation to defend and provide strategic advice on a broad array of energy, complex governance, business and enforcement matters.  She has extensive experience representing companies, officers, directors and special committees in conducting internal investigations related to corporate malfeasance, regulatory compliance, whistleblower allegations and related party transactions.

Peggy is a member of the Board of Directors of Eagle Rock Energy, a publicly traded master limited partnership.  Peggy also serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of the United Way of Greater Houston and the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of DePelchin Children’s Center.  She received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Louisville.
