Supporting its Challenge to increase the percentage of women equity partners to 30% by 2015, NAWL is launching a new program targeted to women lawyers on the brink of equity partnership at their respective law firms. Specifically designed for women income partners, counsel and associates, this program combines hands-on learning with insights and guidance from distinguished panel members on the new skills, strategies and priorities that women lawyers need to develop to become an owner of the business. The program allows for frank conversation and exchange of ideas on the ethical and professional challenges women lawyers encounter in the pipeline to equity partnership. Guidance on such topics as gender bias, effective and ethical client management and the risk of internal firm politics will set the stage for participants to learn how to align their skills to their particular firm’s strategy, culture and position in the marketplace.
CLE accreditation of this program is currently pending in Texas. If you are licensed to practice law in a State other than Texas, you will need to submit all necessary documentation yourself to comply with that State’s CLE regulations (NAWL will be able to confirm your attendance at the program). CLE accreditation of this program is being sponsored by McGuireWoods LLP. Speaker attendance is not guaranteed and is subject to change without notice.
