Ms. JD’s Sixth Annual Conference on Women in the Law

As this year’s host to Ms. JD’s yearly national event, UT Law students will set the stage for the conference by offering their own insight on Ms. JD’s blog. As there are a limited number of these sponsored seats, please indicate your interest by following the first step below and be sure to submit your final blog entry no later than January 10, 2014 January 19, 2014 11:59pm CST.

Instructions:

  1. Email Melissa at mgalusky@law.utexas.edu to secure one of these limited spots.
  2. Create a profile on the Ms. JD website. Once you register for an account you will receive a welcome e-mail with details for logging in. As a registered user, you will have a personal page and access to create groups, calendar events, forums, and blog posts.
  3. Submit a blog post on a topic of your choice. At Ms. JD, you are invited to create a weblog where you can write articles, book reviews, advice, or stories. Your posts will appear on your personal page at Ms. JD. The editors of the Ms. JD front page regularly feature entries from personal blogs, so don’t be surprised if your writing appears on the Ms. JD homepage. Once you have created a profile, you can easily create a blog post by clicking “Create Content” on the right sidebar. Feel free to upload a photo of yourself for the blog post. At the end of your entry, please include a short (4-5 lines) bio using the following format:[Your Name] is a [1L, 2L, 3L] at [University] School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree from [University] where she majored in [subject]. [Describe experience here]. In her spare time, she enjoys…
  4. Once you have submitted your blog post, email Melissa at mgalusky@law.utexas.edu with your name, email address, and a hyperlink to your blog post. Please note that your conference registration is not confirmed until you’ve submitted your blog post and received a confirmation email from Melissa. If the post is not completed by January 10, 2014, your spot may be given to another student.
