Groundwater Management and Groundwater Law from the Perspective of the Landowner
Mr. Russ Johnson, a partner at McGinnis-Lochridge will speak at 4:00pm, April 14, 2014 in Jackson Geology Building (JGB 2.202) on “Groundwater Management and Groundwater Law from the perspective of the Landowner” in Dr. Charlie Kreitler’s class.
Russell Johnson has a multifaceted water law practice, with an emphasis on matters involving land use, water rights and the Endangered Species Act (ESA). His clients are generally landowners, industries, mineral owners and developers seeking to acquire, safeguard, develop or convey water resources. Russ advocates on their behalf before the courts, the Texas Legislature and administrative agencies. He is a Board Member of the Center for Water Law and Policy at Texas Tech University School of Law, as well as an adjunct professor at Texas State University- San Marcos teaching water policy.
