Practicing Energy & Environmental Law in a Nonprofit Setting (Tom Linney, Animal Legal Defense Fund)

Tom Linney is the pro bono coordinator for the Animal Legal Defense Fund, a California-based nonprofit aimed at promoting animal rights and a UT Law graduate.  While here, he established the law school’s Student Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter, petitioned the school to add its first animal law course, and was also the school’s first student to receive a Baron & Budd Fellowship to pursue animal protection work.  At the Animal Legal Defense Fund, he presents animal law issues to law firms, state bar associations, and student fund chapters across the country.
