In most cases, students are not assigned to projects by the Pro Bono Program. Students apply directly to an organization or individual attorney, who then accepts student applicants. Information on the application process and deadlines should be included in the pro bono project description. Each project may determine the information and documents that student applicants must provide. Students may begin pro bono work as soon as they are accepted by the project host organization or attorney.
Pro Bono Advising:
Students may request individual advising sessions with the Pro Bono Director to identify projects tailored to their interests. These sessions are not prerequisites to pro bono participation and are scheduled according to the Pro Bono Director’s availability.
