Robin Gibbs, '71, Awarded Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award

Robin Gibbs, a 1971 alumnus of The Law School, will be honored on April 1, 2008 with the Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation League of South Central Texas.

The Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award, given annually, is Houston's most prestigious award for lawyers. Past recipients include Stephen D. Susman, Joseph D. Jamail, Catherine Lamboley, David Beck, Paul Stallings, and Lee Godfrey.

Mr. Gibbs is a partner at Gibbs & Bruns L.L.P. specializing in complex commercial litigation. He was named Texas Lawyer's No. 1 "Go-To Lawyer" for Securities Litigation.

Mr. Gibbs is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an Advocate with the American Board of Trial Advocates, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation, and a Member of The American Law Institute.

Mr. Gibbs received his B.A. in 1968 from Tulane University and his J.D. in 1971 from UT Law, where he was Case Note Editor for Texas Law Review.
