Gerald L. Bracht
Term: 2006 — 2009

Mr. Gerald L. Bracht received his B.B.A. with highest honors in 1973 from The University of Texas, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa and where he received the Finance Faculty Award. Mr. Bracht received his J.D. with honors in 1976 from The University of Texas School of Law. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the Board of Advocates, and a research assistant for Dean Page Keeton.
Mr. Bracht has been admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Bracht is a member of the Houston and American Bar Associations, the Federal Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas District 4C Grievance Committee, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the American Judicature Society, and the Garland R. Walker Inn of Court. He is a Life Fellow at both the Houston Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation.
Mr. Bracht was a partner at Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton, L.L.P. from February 1982 until October 2001. He has been a partner at Andrews & Kurth in Houston since 2001. Mr. Bracht is a member of the litigation section and focuses his practice on representing manufacturers and sellers of products in products liability actions, commercial disputes and toxic tort litigation. Mr. Bracht also has extensive experience in representing corporations, officers, and/or directors in securities and class action litigation, representing fiduciaries in estate, trust and partnership disputes in addition to representing individuals and businesses in all types of commercial and business litigation.
Mr. Bracht and his wife, Barb Bracht, reside in Houston.
