Scott G. Burdine

Scott G. Burdine was born in Galveston, Texas in 1960.
Mr. Burdine received his B. A. with honors in 1982 from The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Burdine then attended The University of Texas School of Law, where he was President of the Board of Advocates, a member of the Law School’s National Mock Trial Team, was inducted into the Order of Barristers, and won the Geary & Brice Moot Court Competition, the Kemp Smith Mock Trial Competition, and the W. Page Keeton Senior Mock Trial Competition. Mr. Burdine received his J.D. in 1985.
After he graduated from the Law School, Mr. Burdine joined Vinson & Elkins in Houston, Texas, where he worked as an associate from 1985-1988. In 1988 he joined Hill, Parker, Franklin, Cardwell & Jones, where he became a partner and remained with the firm until it dissolved in 1996. Mr. Burdine practiced with the firm of Franklin, Cardwell & Jones from 1996-2000, when he became a principal with the firm of Hagans, Burdine, Montgomery, Rustay & Winchester, P.C.
Mr. Burdine is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers’ Association, and the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists. Mr. Burdine is also a Fellow of both the Houston Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation. Mr. Burdine was President of the Alumni Association in 1998.
Mr. Burdine is married to Linda Burdine. They have three children and reside in Houston.
