Mark K. Glasser
Term: 2008 — 2011

Mr. Glasser received his BA Degree from Columbia University with honors in 1973, and his JD degree from the University of Texas in 1976. Upon graduation from law school, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable William Wayne Justice, Chief Judge for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, from 1976 to 1978. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
His professional activities and associations include:
- Adjunct Professor of Law, University of Houston, 1984 - 1986;
- Member, State Bar of Texas District 4-C Grievance Committee, 1993 - 1999;
- Co-Chair, Houston Bar Association Administration of Justice Committee, 1996 - 1997;
- Co-Chair, 1995 and 1997 Houston Bar Association Bench Bar Conferences;
- Member, Supreme Court of Texas Jury Task Force, 1996 - 1997;
- Director, Federal Bar Association, South Texas Chapter, 2000 - 2001;
- Chair, Houston Bar Association Section on Federal Practice 2003 - 2005;
- Member, Governing Council of Securities Litigation and Arbitration Section of the Houston Bar Association, 2004 - 2005;
- Director, Houston Volunteer Lawyers’ Program 2003 - 2004;
- Faculty Member, American Arbitration Association Arbitration Training Institutes;

Mr. Glasser has authored numerous articles on Texas contract litigation, procedure, and evidence, and serves as a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Texas Pretrial Practice Treatise (James Publishing, 2005). Mr. Glasser also serves as an Instructor in Trial Advocacy for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy at its two-week summer program in Colorado.
