The Psychology of Career Change: Practical Advice on Transitioning from the Practice of Law to Other Careers
The Non-Practicing Alumni Advisory Council, established in 2001, is comprised of UT Law School alumni and friends who are engaged in careers outside the practice of law. The Council is chaired by Lorne Bain (J.D., 1969). The Council's purpose is to involve non-practicing alumni in the life of the School, and to provide insights, suggestions, and support based on its members' particular experiences in business and commerce.
At the 2002 Law School Reunion, the Council presented an informal program: The Psychology of Career Change: Practical Advice on Transitioning from the Practice of Law to Other Careers. We hope you enjoy this discussion on alternative careers and how to position oneself to succeed outside the practice of law.
