Campaign Funding Priorities and Naming Opportunities
The Seize the Day campaign is a comprehensive effort begun in September 2006 and scheduled to be completed by August 2014. All gifts to the Law School during this time count toward the $200 million goal. There are several areas of emphasis in the campaign—some general and some specific—which build on UT Law’s current strengths. In general, support for faculty, students, facilities and programs is always welcome. Specifically, UT Law will use the campaign to position the school to be an international leader in legal education as it relates to energy, innovation and capital markets, biomedicine and healthcare, women in the law, entrepreneurialism, corporate governance, Latin America, and various forms of public interest law.
Many naming opportunities are available in a wide range of amounts in the Seize the Day campaign to recognize permanent endowments and significant current-use gifts. The campaign seeks also to invigorate alumni participation in the Annual Fund, and those gifts will be recognized at various levels that are named for important leaders in the history of the Law School.
