The University of Texas at Austin
National Association for Law Placement

The National Association for Law Placement (NALP) is a member organization, comprised of law school and legal employers, dedicated to facilitating legal career counseling and planning, recruitment and retention, and the professional development of law students and lawyers.

NALP has established guidelines that offer an ethical framework for all participants in law student recruiting. NALP's Principles & Standards guide the timing of responses to offers and set forth the obligations of all participants in the recruiting process. Compliance with the Principles is voluntary, yet virtually all ABA-accredited law schools, including The University of Texas School of Law, and many of the nation's legal employers subscribe to these guidelines.
