The Communications Office works with faculty, staff, and students to inform alumni and friends about what’s going on at UT Law, and promote and disseminate faculty scholarship. The Office plans and executes a variety of communication strategies, including the semiannual alumni magazine, the monthly electronic newsletter, content development for the website, a variety of publications and print materials for academic and scholarly initiatives, and serves as media liaison.
The Student Publications Office provides business management support to twelve student-edited serials titles and two nationally recognized reference manuals representing over thirty issue releases comprising over 5,000 pages of legal analysis and opinion, distributed to a world-wide audience of legal scholars and practitioners. These self-sufficient and highly productive publications represent a particularly wide spectrum of legal, political, and social perspectives. A complete list of law journals published at UT Law can be found at http://www.utexas.edu/law/publications/.
Reporters looking for faculty experts are invited to contact Laura Castro for referrals. In addition, members of the media may also want to check The University of Texas’s “Experts Guide,” which can be found at http://www.utexas.edu/opa/experts/.
Students, faculty, alumni, and staff who need assistance with publicizing events and initiatives with the media, or who have questions about the Law School’s website should contact Kirston Fortune.
