The UT Law Communications Department provides marketing and public relations services for the UT Law School as directed by the Office of the Dean. We create the Law School's alumni magazine, publicize events and conferences, and help members of the media.
Please let us know as soon as possible about any conferences or events you are planning—especially those where there might be media interest due to high profile participants, a link to current events, or anything that is unusual or interesting.

Draft a press release to post on the homepage that includes information about the event (who, what, where, when, why). This should be submitted to the communications department about six weeks to a month before the event.
For ideas on what might be appropriate for a press release, feel free to talk with us and/or look at examples from the past. Current press releases can be found at http://www.utexas.edu/law/news/ and there are archived releases here: http://www.utexas.edu/law/news/archive.html.
Send us graphics or photos that we can use to illustrate your event—we often use these as buttons on our homepage.
Ideas for generating an audience for your event include:
Add event to UT calendar: http://utdirect.utexas.edu/events/index.WBX. Click on the link that says, “Get Authorization to Add Events.”
Add to Law School calendar: http://utdirect.utexas.edu/localn/cal.WBX. Click on the “Add an Event” link located on the left-hand side of the page.
