Hour Requirements
First year students are required to
take 29 hours, although most enroll
for a total of 30 hours. (14 or 16 per semester) The financial
aid budget is based on 30 hours of enrollment.
Students enrolling in less than 14 hours
for either semester will be required to notify the Law
School Financial Aid Office for required budget adjustments.
Second and third year students must
take 14 hours per semester, 28 for
the year in order to receive financial aid. Those taking
less than 14 hours require prior approval
from The Law School Financial Aid Office.
Summer School
Summer financial aid is based on 6 credit hours (3 hours
first session and 3 hours second session. You must
be enrolled for both sessions to receive aid. The minimum hour requirement
to receive financial aid during the summer is 3 hours. (2 hrs first
session and 1 hours second session)
Exceptions
Students who are enrolled for only one session of summer school will be eligible to receive financial aid if they are enrolled for a minimum of 3 hours. The Law School Financial Aid Office will adjust the tuition and fees and all other budget components to reflect one session of enrollment based on the number of hours of enrollment.
Students enrolled for summer internships for academic credit must be enrolled for 3 hours or more to receive financial aid. If the internship is over both sessions or for only session the budget will be adjusted accordingly.
