Counsel with the American Civil Liberties Union and the law firm of LeBeouf Lamb, in In Re Hutto Family Detention Center, filed in federal district court in Austin challenging the detention of immigrant children and their parents at the T. Don Hutto facility in Taylor, Texas. The case was favorably settled in August, 2007.
Planned and spoke at two and a half day seminar by the University of Texas School of Law, Continuing Legal Education, entitled "Immigration Fundamentals", Houston, Texas, May, 2007.
Honoree for contributions to Central Texas immigrant community, Political Asylum Project of Austin, May, 2007.
