Professor Kadens specializes in European legal history. Her current research focuses on eighteenth-century English law, the history of bankruptcy, and early modern commercial law. Kadens teaches contracts, sales, and legal history and serves as one of the judicial clerkship advisors. Prior to joining the UT faculty, she clerked for the Honorable Danny J. Boggs, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
