Prior to her appointment as a Supervising Attorney at the Children's Rights Clinic, Ms. Strauch was an Assistant District Attorney at the Travis County District Attorney's office where she spent almost 8 years representing Child Protective Services in litigation involving child abuse and neglect. She was also a part-time community prosecutor in conjunction with the Austin Police Department. Ms. Strauch began representing CPS in El Paso County as an Assistant County Attorney where she also was assigned to the Juvenile Prosecution Unit. She has been a speaker at many seminars for such organizations as the Texas County and District Attorney's Association, Court Appointed Family Attorneys, and CASA of Travis County.
