Thomas Haines Edwards & James P. Barber, A Computer Method for Legal Drafting Using Propositional Logic, 53 Texas L. Rev. 965 (1975). 

Many problems in legal logic are actually problems in the way lawyers use words and think about language.  Methods from logic and other disciplines can be applied to these problems and in some cases can eliminate them.  The method presented employs a relatively straightforward application of a computer program to eliminate one kind of ambiguity in legal drafting.
