Article:
David W. Robertson, Injuries to Marine Petroleum Workers: A
Plea for Radical Simplification, 55 TEXAS L. REV. 973
(1977).
Abstract:
The Article presents a picture of the injury system that had
developed for offshore oil workers prior to the effective date
of the 1972 amendments to the Longshoremen’s and Harbor Worker’s
Compensation Act. Professor Robertson analyses the probable
effects of the amendments of the rights of these workers and
outlines the elements of a more rational scheme currently within
the court’s reach.
