W. Page Keeton, In Memoriam: Woodfin L. Butte, 59 TEXAS L. REV. V (1981). 

This piece memorializes Woodfin L. Butte, a professor at the University of Texas School of Law.  Woodfin joined the Texas law faculty after a long and distinguished career, initially with private law firms, then for twenty-five years with the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey as legal counsel, and later, director of the Creole Petroleum Corporation in Venezuela.  While a faculty member at the University of Texas Butte authored numerous articles and compiled a coursebook on Mexican civil law.
