Book Review:
Thomas Gibbs Gee, A Good Word for the Guardians (reviewing
Richard Neely’s How Courts Govern America), 60 TEXAS L. REV.
173 (1981).
Abstract:
In this Book Review, Judge Gee comments “the book seems to me to
improve so consistently, chapter by chapter, as to suggest that
it might have been written straight through over a period of
time, by one whose knowledge and style improved in the process.”
Furthermore, he states that the book’s last two chapters are
more balanced than earlier ones. Overall, he observes, that the
book contains valuable insights into the mind of an “outspoken
representative of one prominent judicial species.”
