Abstract:
Professor Fielder describes Bittker’s treatise on the federal income tax as a “masterpiece” that is both comprehensive and comprehensible. Fielder particularly praises Bittker’s skill at providing thorough coverage of each topic without becoming mired in detail. He concludes that Bittker’s treatise, as well as its later-published condensed student version, is an extremely useful and valuable addition to tax literature.
