Abstract:
This note examines admission of evidence in deportation hearing. Specifically, Schofield argues that the Federal Rules of Evidence should be followed in deportation hearings to add fairness and promote certainty with respect to issues of admissibility of evidence. Schofield argues that adoption of such rules in deportation proceedings would both expedite procedures and reduce frivolous appeals.
