Note:
Todd Piccus, Demystifying the Least Understood Branch: Opening the Supreme Court to Broadcast Media, 71 TEXAS L. REV. 1053 (1993).

Abstract:
The author describes the recent efforts of media groups to secure broadcast access to Supreme Court proceedings and argues that there are no constitutional impediments to allowing broadcast coverage of the Court's oral arguments and decision announcements. The author then explores the public policies advanced by broadcasting Supreme Court proceedings and those frustrated by maintaining the ban. The author concludes that true public access to the Supreme Court necessarily includes broadcast access.
