“Whither American Conservatism” conference to take place at the Law School, September 14–15, 2012

Professor Sanford Levinson, W. St. John Garwood and W. St. John Garwood Jr. Centennial Chair in Law, has organized a conference in conjunction with the American Society of Political and Legal Philosophy (ASPLP), “Whither American Conservatism.” The conference will take place at the Law School on Friday, September 14, and Saturday, September 15. Friday’s events, which will be at the Eidman Courtroom, will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run all day until 5:45 p.m. Saturday’s events will begin at 9:45 a.m. in the Sheffield Room and will conclude with lunch. The conference is a follow-up to an earlier set of panels organized by the ASPLP in 2007 on “American Conservatism,” and one purpose of this conference is to see whether “American conservatism” has changed in the past five years. The papers presented in 2007 and the papers at this conference will be published together in a single volume of NOMOS, the yearbook of the ASPLP.
