AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas School of Law announced it has mailed more than 100 acceptances to Early Decision applications this week, according to Tracy Caperton, UT Law's new Director of Admissions.
"We identified an expeditious admissions process as one of our top priorities. We are delighted that Tracy and the admissions staff have met the needs of future students by sending out the first set of decisions in late November as promised," Dean Bill Powers said.
Early Decision responses will continue to be sent through December, and all Early Decision responses will be sent out by January.
Since 1999, applications to UT Law have increased 35% to roughly 4,400, which is nearly three times the average increase seen nationwide. As of November 2001, the number of applications received has already doubled from the amount the prior year.
