An Interview with Legendary Composer Philip Glass, Oct. 4

Austin, TEXAS — The legendary composer Philip Glass will appear at the University of Texas School of Law for a live interview with UT law professor Sandy Levinson and Dean Robert Freeman of the College of Fine Arts. The topic of conversation will be: "The Composer as Performer, The Composer as Listener." This event is an "advance attraction" for a national law and arts symposium entitled "From Text to Performance: Law and Other Performing Arts" to be held on the UT campus, March 3-9, 2002. The lunch hour interview with Glass in the School of Law, Oct. 4th is free and open to the community. Phillip Glass and the Philip Glass Ensemble will also be performing live at Hogg Auditorium, Oct. 2-6, as part of a week-long series Philip on Film, five evenings of works for music and film created by Glass over the past 25 years.
