Law School adjunct professor will oversee federal prison policies
AUSTIN, Texas – President George W. Bush has named U.S. District Judge Ricardo H. Hinojosa to the U.S. Sentencing Commission. Judge Hinojosa received his bachelor of arts degree with honors from UT-Austin in 1972 and serves as an adjunct at the School of Law, teaching Sentencing. He is also the former president of The Ex-Students' Association. As the newest member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, Judge Hinojosa will be responsible for overseeing federal prison sentencing policies. The appointment requires Senate approval.
