UT's Roy Mersky Named a "Mover and Shaker"

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas School of Law's Professor Roy Mersky has been named a "mover and shaker" by Library Journal. Library Journal is the oldest independent national library publication. Founded in 1876, this 'bible' of the library world is read by over 100,000 library directors, administrators, and others in public, academic, and special libraries.

Yale Law School's S. Blair Kauffman called Roy Mersky "the emperor of world-wide law librarianship," in recognition of the many library directors Mersky has trained and the exacting standards he has set. Over his thirty-seven-year tenure, he has built the Law School's library into one of the world's greatest law libraries.

He holds the Harry M. Reasoner Regents Chair in Law, is the Elton M. Hyder, Jr. and Martha Rowan Hyder Centennial Faculty Fellow, is the Director of Legal Research, and Law Librarian for The University of Texas School of Law.
