AUSTIN, Texas — Forbes magazine named Austin, Texas as the best place in the U.S. for business and careers.
According to Forbes' senior editor, the main reason is The University of Texas at Austin. Today's Austin American-Statesman reported that Kurt Badenhausen said, "The university certainly is one of the city's biggest drawing points.(It) keeps Austin (and local firms like Dell, Motorola and IBM) supplied with a fresh crop of college grads and Ph.D.s each year."
