Wake Forest University Appoints UT Law Alum to Law Faculty

AUSTIN, Texas – Wendy Parker, a 1990 graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, joined the law faculty at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this month. She will teach torts and remedies.

Parker has been on the faculty at the University of Cincinnati College of Law for seven years and has won the student-voted teacher of the year award twice. Her scholarly publications and presentations have been in the areas of school desegregation and judicial remedies.

She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with B.A. in history with high honors and a J.D. with honors.

In recent years, UT graduates have accepted tenured or tenure-track positions in the law schools at New York University, Ohio State, Tulane University, University of Houston, University of Arizona, University of Georgia, Marquette University, University of Nevada, University of Mississippi, and University of North Carolina, among many other places.
