A special panel discussion, including scenes from Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, was presented at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law on Sept. 25th at 6:30 p.m. through the Law School's Law & Other Performing Arts series in association with the UT English Department on the occasion of the annual residency of Actors from the London Stage. Law professor Sanford Levinson offered commentary on the jurisprudential implications of Shakespeare's text. James Loehlin, director of UT's Shakespeare at Winedale program, and Guy Roberts, director of the Austin Shakespeare Festival, spoke on the history of the play, direction and performance practices. Members of the Spirit of Shakespeare, directed by Alan Friedman, presented key scenes from the play.
