AUSTIN, Texas Today The University of Texas School of Law announced that its inaugural Tarlton Law Library Rare Books Lecture will take place on Monday, February 23, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. in the Jeffers Courtroom of the Law School. Professor and former dean Michael H. Hoeflich of the University of Kansas School of Law will be the first speaker in what will be an annual or biennial Rare Books Lecture series.
Professor Hoeflich, an internationally-recognized authority on legal history, will be discussing "Subscription Publishing & the Sale of Law Books Inn Antebellum America."
