HOUSTON, Texas — Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. senior partner Charles H. Still, a 1968 graduate of UT Law, was honored in three national publications as one of the top corporate mergers & acquisitions lawyers in the U.S. In its survey of FORTUNE 1000 general counsel, BTI Consulting Group named Still to its annual All-Star Team of lawyers across the nation. (Only the top 90 U.S. attorneys in client service are named to this prominent list annually.) Additionally, Chambers & Partners, USA directory named Still as a highly-ranked Texas attorney in the practice area of corporate mergers & acquisitions. These entries are based solely on market recommendations, and attorneys are evaluated on the basis of client research. Still was also recognized as one of the worlds leading mergers and acquisitions lawyers in PLC Mergers and Acquisitions Handbook 2003/4. Using questionnaires and interviews with law firms and clients, Handbook listings are tabulated by Global Counsel 3000's editorial team.
Still joined Fulbright in 1968 after graduating from Texas Tech University and receiving a J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law. He became a partner in 1975 and has served for many years in management at Fulbright. In addition to mergers & acquisitions, his practice areas include corporate finance and securities law and other corporate specialty areas such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and general corporate legal compliance programs.
