The man behind the School of Law’s information desk isn’t a lawyer, but a lot of people wish he were.
Michael Saldana, 34, is the first person you see when you enter the school, answering visitors’ questions and switchboard calls to the communications center in the law school’s atrium. He said the only thing he can’t answer is legal questions.
“They basically just want to have someone to listen to them,” Saldana said.
Saldana has worked at the law school for two years, steering students, lawyers and judges to their destinations.
The number for the School of Law’s communication center is 232-1101, and they are open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
UT Law editor's note: Saldana is the son of Anna Maria Saldana, who worked for The Law School for 35 years. She started at UT Law as a secretary and retired as director of Financial Aid.
