AUSTIN, Texas — When it became clear that Professor Robert Dawson was
dying, UT Law students began to write personal notes to him. The sheets were
taken to Bill and Stephanie Whitehurst’s home Friday evening where Dawson
received the TLF honor for being the best example of a professor doing pro bono
work in the public interest area. Professor Bill Allison took the original notes,
the award, and copies out to the Dawson ranch at Fentress on Sunday. Today they
are made public as part of a tribute to a dear professor and friend of UT Law
students.
