UT Law Ranks Second among U.S. Law Schools in Scholarly Impact
According to Institute for Scientific Information

AUSTIN, Texas — The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) recently ranked UT Law faculty second in terms of the most citations per paper published, 1991-2003. The Institute publishes highly respected natural sciences faculty impact reports and occasionally releases studies on the social science disciplines (psychology, sociology, law). The 2004 report ranked law faculties by citations per paper published 1999-2003. The top six reported are (with citations per paper in parentheses):

• 2. University of Texas, Austin (5.42)
• 3. Harvard University (5.01)
• 4. New York University (4.61)
• 4. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (4.61)
• 6. Columbia University (4.54)
