AUSTIN, Texas—Charles W. Matthews, vice president and general counsel of ExxonMobil Corp., will speak to a corporate litigation class at The University of Texas School of Law on Thursday, Feb. 1.
All UT Law students and faculty are invited to hear Matthews speak to from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at UT professor Steve Magee’s class, Law 279M (Corporate Litigation: Damages), in TNH 3.125. In order to accommodate a larger audience, the class may be moved to THN 2.138.
Matthews joined Exxon's law department in 1971 and became the corporation's general counsel in 1995. Matthews became general counsel and vice president of ExxonMobil when the two oil companies merged in 1999.
Magee, professor of finance and economics, also teaches Law 279M (Managerial Microeconomics) in the Law School this semester.
