Chicano/Hispanic Law Students Association Banquet on Saturday, March 31

AUSTIN, Texas—The Chicano/Hispanic Law Students Association is excited to celebrate this year’s accomplishments and recognize community leaders at its 32nd Annual Cultural Celebration and Awards Banquet to be held at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, Connally Ballroom, on Saturday, March 31, 2007. The cocktail reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the dinner program will follow promptly at 7:30.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Juan Hernandez. Dr. Hernandez has dedicated himself to the study of Mexico-U.S. relations for many years, and is especially known for his passion for and defense of the rights of immigrants. He has been described as one of the most brilliant men in the world (Fortune 2001), named Humanitarian Man of 2001 by Latin Trade magazine (2001), and classified as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the U.S. (Hispanic Business magazine 2001). He has also been showcased on Nightline, and he is a regular guest on Univisión , CNN and Fox News.
