Rob Owen, a law professor at The University of Texas, spoke Monday, Oct. 1, about the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to consider the constitutionality of lethal injection in death penalty cases during an interview with the CBS affiliate in Austin, KEYE-TV.
Owen, a graduate of the University of Georgia and Harvard Law School, is a nationally-recognized expert on death penalty cases. He is a clinical professor and co-director of UT Law School’s Capital Punishment Clinic.
The news clip shows a discussion between Owens and UT Law Professor Jordan Steiker on death penalty issues and the U.S. Supreme Court with UT Law students in the Law School’s Eidman Courtroom. The talk was held in observation of “First Monday” — the opening of the current Supreme Court term.
