U.S. District Judge Hilda G. Tagle will deliver the keynote speech at the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students’ Association’s 33rd Annual Cultural Celebration and Awards Banquet, which will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008.
The Honorable Judge Tagle is a U.S. District Judge for the Southern
District of Texas, Brownsville Division. She is also a 1977 UT Law

The event will be held in the Grand Lobby and Rotunda of the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum at 7 p.m. The Museum’s first floor exhibit of the early history of Texas will be open to all guests.
The banquet enables CHLSA to function as a support network for Hispanic students and to award its members scholarships, such as the Textbook, Bar, Public Interest, and Summer School stipends. In addition, proceeds from the silent auction will help to endow the Dean Aleman Scholarship.
