RELAW, UT Law School’s new student-run Real Estate Law Association, is hosting a panel discussion by executives of Forestar Real Estate Group, locally headquartered real estate firm now publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. A panel of executives from Forestar Real Estate Group will discuss the company’s recent spin-off and initial public offering (IPO). The panel will include the CEO, CFO, Chief Accounting Officer, and General Counsel of Forestar. Funding, securitization and other aspects of their public offering will be discussed, followed by a question and answer session and a reception. The president of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) and several other prominent Austin real estate, mortgage industry, and law professionals will also attend.
Forestar recently spun-off from Temple-Inland and was added to the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “FOR.” Today, Forestar is one of the largest publically-traded real estate companies in the U.S.
The event is co-hosted with the Graduate Real Estate Society at UT-Austin’s McCombs School of Business.
