Actual Innocence Clinic helps exonerate wrongfully convicted men

The Actual Innocence Clinic at the University of Texas School of Law has proved, in collaboration with UT-Arlington and the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, the innocence of a Dallas man who spent more than twelve years in Texas prisons for a murder he did not commit. Texas Law Fellowships Fall Auction, November 5

Alumni are invited to attend the Texas Law Fellowships Fall Auction, which will be held at the Cedar Street Courtyard on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Last year, the Auction raised approximately $14,000 to fund fellowships for students who worked in public interest internships during the summer. Items for sale in the Auction are donated by area businesses, as well as by faculty and staff of the School of Law. Human Rights Happy Hour, November 9

The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice invites you to join them for Human Rights Happy Hours. On Monday, November 9, 2009, from 3:30–5:30 p.m., Gillian Slovo, South-African born novelist, playwright and memoirist, will speak on the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa.
