On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, the seventeen students with the highest grade point averages at the end of two years of study were inducted into Chancellors, the Law School’s most prestigious honor society.
Justice Corps Fellows
The Justice Corps Fellows program recently awarded two fellowships to practice public-interest law. Kyle Marie Stock received the George M. Fleming Fellowship in Health Law and Stephanie Kolmar received the Julius Glickman Fellowship in Public Interest Law.
Law School hosts events for Explore UT, Saturday, March 6, 2010
On Saturday, March 6, 2010, the University of Texas at Austin will host “the biggest open house in Texas”—Explore UT. This annual event is a hands-on introduction to the University through a variety of events, performances, lectures, exhibits, and other activities.
The Law School will hold a variety of events, from a treasure hunt sponsored by the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students Association to the trial of Gold E. Locks, presided over by the Honorable Edward C. Prado, ’72, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Information about these events is available on the “Explore UT” page on the Law School’s website.

G. Rollie White Public Interest Scholar: Kathryn S. Fuller, ’76
The William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law will present Kathryn S. Fuller, ’76, as the Law School’s inaugural G. Rollie White Public Interest Scholar in Residence, March 8-10, 2010. Fuller is the chair of the Ford Foundation and former president of the World Wildlife Fund. During her time as scholar in residence at the Law School, Fuller will make three presentations open to the public:

TRESL Symposium, March 25, 2010
The Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law will host its first annual symposium on collective bargaining agreements in the NFL and NBA. The symposium features Lester Munson, legal analyst for ESPN. Information about the symposium can be found on the journal’s symposium website.
